This article explains how to set up the Webfleet interface in Logistiqo and how to link vehicles in Logistiqo with the corresponding vehicles or objects in Webfleet.
The setup consists of two steps:
- Enter the Webfleet access data in the entity settings.
- Link the vehicles in Logistiqo with the corresponding Webfleet objects.
Entering the Webfleet Access Data
Go to Settings > Entity > Entity.
Select your own entity or company from the table.
In the lower area, go to the Interfaces section.
Enter the Webfleet access data:
- Webfleet Account: Account name of your Webfleet account.
- Webfleet Username: Username for the Webfleet access.
- Webfleet Password: Password for the Webfleet access.
Then click Save.
Logistiqo is now connected to your Webfleet account.
Linking Vehicles with Webfleet
After the Webfleet access data has been entered, the vehicles in Logistiqo must be linked with the corresponding Webfleet objects.
Go to Fleet Management > Vehicle.
Select an existing vehicle or create a new vehicle by clicking New.
Open the General Info section of the vehicle.
There you will find the field Webfleet.
Select the matching Webfleet object in the Webfleet field.
The selection shows the Webfleet objects that are available through the connected Webfleet account.
After selecting the Webfleet object, the related Webfleet information is stored on the vehicle, for example:
- Webfleet Object No
- Webfleet License Plate
- Webfleet Object Name
Then click Save.
Repeat this step for all vehicles that should be connected to Webfleet.
Important When Changing Data in Webfleet
If vehicle data or object numbers are changed in Webfleet, check the assignment in Logistiqo afterwards.
Open the corresponding vehicle under Fleet Management > Vehicle, check the Webfleet field, and save the vehicle again if the assignment needs to be updated.
Typical Setup Process
The typical setup process is:
- Enter the Webfleet access data under Settings > Entity > Entity.
- Save the changes.
- Go to Fleet Management > Vehicle.
- Open the vehicle.
- Select the matching Webfleet object in the Webfleet field.
- Save the vehicle.
- Repeat the assignment for all other vehicles that should be connected.
Common Issues
If the Webfleet assignment does not work as expected, check the following points first:
- Are Webfleet Account, Webfleet Username, and Webfleet Password entered correctly?
- Was the entity saved after entering the access data?
- Does the vehicle exist in Webfleet?
- Was the correct Webfleet object selected in the vehicle?
- Was the vehicle saved after selecting the Webfleet object?
- Were vehicle data or object data changed in Webfleet afterwards?
- Is the Webfleet selection empty or does it not show the expected vehicle?
Important Notes
Make sure that each vehicle in Logistiqo is linked with the correct Webfleet object.
An incorrect assignment can cause position data or vehicle data to be assigned to the wrong vehicle.
Before saving, check especially:
- vehicle registration in Logistiqo
- Webfleet object
- Webfleet object number
- Webfleet license plate
- Webfleet object name
Summary
The Webfleet interface is set up in two steps:
- Enter the access data under Settings > Entity > Entity in the Interfaces section.
- Link the vehicles under Fleet Management > Vehicle with the matching Webfleet object.
After saving, the connected vehicles can be used for the Webfleet integration in Logistiqo.
