This article explains how to create and manage drivers and warehouse persons in Logistiqo.
Drivers and warehouse persons can be used for different workflows in Logistiqo, such as shipments, the Logistiqo app, warehouse processes, scans, labels, relocation processes, or other mobile functions.
Opening Drivers and Warehouse Persons
Go to Employee > Driver/Warehouse Person.
The upper table shows all drivers and warehouse persons that have already been created. Select a record from the table to open the details in the lower area.
Use New to create a new record. Depending on the intended use, you can choose between different options, for example:
- Own Driver
- External Driver
Creating an Own Driver or Warehouse Person
An own driver or warehouse person belongs to your own company or depot.
To create an own driver or warehouse person:
- Go to Employee > Driver/Warehouse Person.
- Click New in the toolbar.
- Select Own Driver.
- Fill in the relevant fields.
- Activate the required options in the Settings area.
- Click Save.
Creating an External Driver
An external driver can be used if the driver does not belong to your own company, but for example to a subcontractor.
To create an external driver:
- Go to Employee > Driver/Warehouse Person.
- Click New in the toolbar.
- Select External Driver.
- Select the corresponding company in the Company field.
- Fill in the remaining data.
- Click Save.
The company must already exist under Contacts > Companies before it can be selected here.
Important Fields
The following fields are especially important:
- Company: Defines which company the driver or warehouse person belongs to. For own drivers, this is usually your own company. For external drivers, select the subcontractor company.
- Depot: Optional depot assignment for the driver or warehouse person.
- Number: Internal number of the driver or warehouse person. This number can also be relevant for app login, if the app is used with login credentials.
- Ident. Number: Optional field for an internal personnel or identification number.
- Mobile Number App: Very important if the driver or warehouse person uses the Logistiqo app. This phone number is used to connect the person in Logistiqo with the app. The number must match the phone number used by the driver to verify themselves in the Logistiqo app.
- Name / Name 2: Name or description of the driver or warehouse person.
- Greeting, Firstname, Lastname: Personal data of the driver or warehouse person.
- Phone, Mobile, Email: Contact details of the driver or warehouse person.
- Address: Address of the driver or warehouse person.
- Driver License: Driver license number or additional driver license information.
- Driver License Classes: Driver license classes of the driver.
- Valid Until: Validity date, for example for a driver license or ADR certificate.
- RFID-Tag: Optional RFID tag, if used in your process.
- ADR Certificate: ADR certificate information, if the driver is relevant for dangerous goods transports.
- Note: Free-text field for internal notes.
Mobile Number App
The Mobile Number App field is especially important when the driver or warehouse person works with the Logistiqo app.
The phone number must exactly match the number used by the person in the app verification process.
If the number is not entered correctly, the connection between Logistiqo and the app may not work.
If there are problems with the app, check the following first:
- Is the Mobile Number App entered in the driver/warehouse person record?
- Is it the same number that was used in the Logistiqo app?
- Is the number complete and entered in the correct format?
- Was the record saved after the change?
Number for App Login
In addition to Mobile Number App, the Number field can also be important.
If the Logistiqo app is used with login credentials, this number can be relevant for the driver login or assignment.
If a driver cannot log in correctly, also check whether the correct value is entered in the Number field.
Settings and Permissions
In the Settings area, you define what the driver or warehouse person can be used for.
Depending on your system configuration, different options may be available.
Typical options are:
- Driver/Warehouse Person: Marks the record as a driver or warehouse person.
- External Driver: Marks the record as an external driver.
- Inactive: Sets the driver or warehouse person to inactive. Inactive records should no longer be used actively.
- ADR: The driver can be relevant for ADR or dangerous goods processes.
- Manifest: The driver or warehouse person can be used for manifest processes.
- Transshipment / Article: Permission or usage for warehouse or article transshipment processes.
- Relocate: Usage for relocation processes.
- Package: Usage for packaging processes.
- Shipment: Usage in shipment processes.
- Package Label: Usage for package labels.
- Shipment Label: Usage for shipment labels.
- Storage Location Change: Usage for changing storage locations.
- Secured: Usage for secured processes.
- Labeled: Usage for label processes.
- Service: Usage in connection with services.
- Scan POD: Usage for scanning proof of delivery documents.
- Stock Query: Usage for stock queries.
- Stocktake: Usage for stocktaking or inventory processes.
- Unloading Permission: Usage for unloading permissions.
Which options need to be activated depends on the processes the driver or warehouse person should perform in Logistiqo or in the app.
Editing a Driver or Warehouse Person
To edit an existing driver or warehouse person:
- Go to Employee > Driver/Warehouse Person.
- Search for the required record in the table.
- Click the record.
- Change the required fields.
- Click Save.
Setting a Driver or Warehouse Person to Inactive
If a driver or warehouse person should no longer be used, the record should usually be set to inactive instead of being deleted.
To set a record to inactive:
- Open the driver or warehouse person.
- Activate Inactive in the Settings area.
- Save the record.
This keeps the history available, but the driver or warehouse person is no longer used actively.
Common App Connection Issues
If a driver or warehouse person cannot use the app correctly, check these points first:
- The Mobile Number App is missing.
- The Mobile Number App does not match the number used in the app.
- The phone number was saved in a different format or with an incorrect number.
- The record was not saved after the change.
- The required options in the Settings area are not activated.
- If app login is used, the Number field is not correct.
- The driver or warehouse person is set to Inactive.

Before using a driver or warehouse person, check especially:
- company
- depot
- number
- mobile number app
- name
- contact details
- relevant settings and permissions
- driver license or ADR data, if required
- inactive status
If the Logistiqo app is used, the correct Mobile Number App is one of the most important points for a successful assignment.
